On Sunday May 3, 2009 we took my In-Laws to visit the Palm Springs Art Museum in beautiful Downtown Palm Springs.
I'm forced to confess that it was the first time we had visited the museum in 7 years of living in Palm Springs. Silly us!
It is a lovely place with very interesting things to see. I'll let the photos say the rest, just click on the photo below to visit the entire album.

This post is about the photo equipment I use. First I should tell you that I'm firmly in the Canon camp. I've used Canon cameras for over twenty years and the only problem I've ever had of any import was having my ancient Canon EOS 35MM SLR stolen.
My first Canon digital SLR was an EOS 10D which my husband uses these days. My current SLR is a Canon EOS 5D, I have the original 12.8 MP version. There is also a newer version of the EOS 5D that is a 21MP camera. I see no need to replace mine.
I also have 2 much smaller and less expensive Canon cameras, an SD950 and a Canon PowerShot SX 110 IS. Of these two I much prefer the less expensive PowerShot SX110 because it has a much wider zoom range, 10X as they say in compact camera specs.
I've had other digital cameras too, a very early Nikon 900S back in the 20th century, and a Casio that took good photos if you did not mind waiting a few seconds for the shutter to trip.
Here is a listing of the current top sellers in the Canon PowerShot compact camera range.
In 2003 we toured New Mexico and Arizona as a vacation trip. I took along my first digital SLR, a Canon EOS-10D, which I had just received. One of the sites we saw was the famous Carlsbad Caverns.

Although it is extremely rare for snow to fall on the valley floor here in Palm Springs, we often do see snow on our local mountains. Click on the photo below to see some shots of snow, many of these images are of Mount San Jacinto which we can see from the West side of our home.

Recently I uploaded a new set of photos to Flickr, my collection of flower photos taken over the last 8 or 9 years that I have been using digital cameras. Click on the photo below to view this Flickr set.
